Role Purpose
Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of education and practice programs for clinical staff that promote the provision of a superior patient experience for patients and their families. Coordinates and manages house wide educational programs and resources that support clinical educators and leaders at the unit / department level.
Responsibilities
Manages key house-wide or multidepartmental programs to support education needs of clinical staff.
Develops, implements and evaluates continuing education programs, curriculums for orientation and ongoing professional development of clinical staff that meet and / or exceed national standards for continuing education requirements.
Collaborates with administration, patient care services, leadership, shared leadership councils, staff and key department and BJC system personnel to develop education plans and implementation patient care and regulatory requirements.
Analyzes developmental and educational needs and evaluates effectiveness of educational activities.
Designs educational programs that are cost-effective, meet the needs of adult learners, and are based upon sound educational principles.
