Job description

Job Summary : The Project and Implementation Engineer is a client facing role that is responsible for a variety of technical needs for our clients. This role is required to follow a project plan, complete assigned tasks, manage other tasks within the plan to ensure completion, answer client questions and continuously update the client with all pertinent informationand project status. This position will be assigned a wide variety of standard projects as well as more complex projects, such as email migrations, server migrations, network design and setup. This role will also be involved in the implementation process to work with clients to transition them from their current Managed Service Provider or IT Professional to the Visory support model. This role may require some travel to client locations for the purpose of transitioning them to Visory support or as necessary for completion of a project. This position will work on any other initiatives and ongoing projects as assigned in addition to any duties the Company may assign. This position will report to the Project and Implementation Team Manager.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Perform assigned tasks relating to the installation, configuration, and / or migration of customer data or services.
  • Contribute to and / or lead customer meetings (depending on size of engagement) to ensure scope of implementation is understood both internally and with the client.
  • Gather all required documentation and access credentials for services that fall under contracted management for new clients during implementation.
  • Work with the Visory team to ensure the success of the migration and implementation process to bring to completion with full customer satisfaction.
  • Understand the design requirements of the project and organize, plan, and lead the project design details in conjunction with the Project and Implementation Team Manager.
  • Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of any deliverables to the client for any projects to which you are assigned.
  • Ensure all Project deliverables are prepared and issued in a timely manner.
  • Work with and provide consistent communication and guidance to the client.
  • Refine and adopt the company's existing procedures and / or develop and document new procedures that are appropriate for the project supported.
  • Evaluate the project and report status of assigned tasks and associated timeline to implementation project manager in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Identify and document scope / design change for approval.
  • Clearly and accurately document work details within the project.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Information Technology IT Security in a NOC environment working with a broad range of technologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general networking and security principles and practices required.
  • Experience with Windows Servers, Desktops and Laptops.
  • Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, 365, and cloud services management platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory services, including Group Policy, Print Management, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with Firewall management and deployment.
  • Experience with data and mail migrations from various sources.

  • Education and Experience : A formal education or certification in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
