Our platform helps our physician partners thrive in today's fee-for-service environment and prepare for success in value-based care. In February 2024, we partnered with WindRose Health Investors as well as top physician services and payor executives to grow our team and invest in our next phase of growth.

Cardiovascular Specialists of New England (CSNE) is an independent practice comprised of 10 cardiovascular Physicians who have partnered with CardioOne to establish a progressive, comprehensive outpatient practice in southern New Hampshire.

About the Job

Cardiovascular Specialists of New England is hiring a Director of Operations. The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operational management of our 10 cardiologists / 3 APP cardiovascular practice. The practice provides on-site ancillary programs including Echo, PET, SPECT, Internal Loop Recorder placement / removal, a robust wearable device program, and both on side and remote device monitoring. Additional virtual programs include chronic care management and intensive cardiac rehab. This role will work with the CSNE providers, leadership team, and staff to ensure all facets of operational optimization, a positive culture and patient satisfaction. You will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.

What you'll do : Leadership :

  • Develop and implement workflows driving operational efficiency and staff accountability
  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team responsible for the implementation, delivery, and continuous improvement of all components of practice operations.
  • Proactively identify programmatic, staff, business partner / referring provider issues work collaborative with practice leadership and CardioOne to develop effective solutions.

Operational Excellence :

  • Oversee the daily operations of all CSNE programs and locations.
  • Ensure seamless integration and smooth operations of provider schedules and ancillary programs.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess / ensure the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of practice operations. Work with leadership to develop and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop, mentor, and hold accountable managers, team leads, and staff throughout CSNE
  • Develop / Implement staff training and orientation programs with team leads and managers. Ensure staff receives initial and ongoing training to be set up for success. Refine as necessary.
  • Ensure comprehensive, ongoing, and two-way communication with CSNE team, including both formal and informal channels including but not limited to regular staff meetings and rounding.
  • Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, clinical protocols established by the providers, billing guidelines and other relevant industry standards.
  • Implement best practices focusing on patient safety, engagement, operational excellence and outcomes.
  • Monitor patient and referring provider satisfaction, proactively reporting issues and potential resolutions to Physicians and Vice President of Operations.
  • Technology and Innovation :

  • Partner with CardioOne IT to maximize IT and integration capabilities, ensuring the infrastructure supports growth and innovation and efficiency.
  • Drive the adoption of automated Athena / IT solutions to improve the efficiency and quality of care delivery.
  • Financial Management :

  • Work with the VP and team leads at CSNE to develop and manage an annual operating budget
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining high levels of care quality.
  • Team Development and Training :

  • Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team to support goals and objectives of CSNE
  • Provide ongoing coaching and professional development to team members to ensure optimal performance and engagement.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the virtual care management team.
  • What you'll need :

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration, nursing, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations.
  • Strong background in medical outpatient practice management (cardiology preferred).
  • Proven experience with managing multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale operational projects.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, reimbursement models, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development and cost management.
  • Ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and manage complex, evolving programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of virtual care workflows, patient engagement strategies, and tele-health best practices.
  • Work Location :

    Onsite in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
