WHAT DO WE DO?

CHSI is a private, non-profit organization established in 1973 to serve the health needs of migrant & seasonal farmworkers and their family members. Today, CHSI has expanded services and provides mental & physical healthcare to all individuals in our communities. Our services are provided on a more affordable sliding fee scale to those who are under-insured or un-insured. We also accept ND and MN Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance plans. We currently operate four nurse-managed clinics, two mobile medical units, and two victim advocacy program centers in Minnesota & North Dakota.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are on the search for a Full-time Dentist to join our Moorhead, MN team. As a Dentist, your role is to

Carry out general dentistry and teach patients how to take care of their teeth. Write prescriptions for painkillers and antibiotics. Attend to patients' broken or cracked teeth. Treatments for cavities and decay include diagnosing and treating oral disorders; placing fillings; examining patients for jaw and dental conditions; and extracting teeth. Make sure patients have comprehensive treatment programs. Interpret x-rays.

ARE YOU A GOOD FIT?

In addition to being a wonderful team member and advocate for patients, we are seeking an individual with the below qualifications :

PHYSICAL ABILITIES

  • Ability to bend and crouch occasionally, sit continuously, and stand or walk frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use hands / arms, feet / legs for repetitive fine to large motor skill movements.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • S. or D.M.D. from a school accredited by Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and American Dental Association.
  • Licensed to practice in ND and MN (or willing to obtain).
  • Certification in CPR.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Medical Records.
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  • Compassionate and caring of patients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work in an intense, concentrated environment.
  • Calm and cool-headed with a positive attitude.
  • Complies with all office, local, state, and American Dental Association regulations, protocols, and procedures.
