The basics of this position :

Interpret in American Sign Language and other sign language modes as required by individual students, and facilitate communication between faculty, staff, and students. There are 3 levels of Interpreter : I Basic, II Advanced, III Master. Placement will be based on Missouri Interpreter Certification. See Required Qualifications for more information.

Interpreting : Provides interpreting services for students, faculty, and staff who are deaf or hard of hearing in the following areas

  • Academic Support
  • Center for Teaching and Learning Classroom
  • Commencement
  • Continuing Education / Workforce Solutions Group Staff Development
  • Student Affairs : Academic Advising; Access Office; Campus Life; Career Development; Counseling; Financial Aid; Testing Center; TRIO Supplemental

Instruction Theater

  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with students and staff as required by the assignment.
  • Education, experience, and other requirements :

  • Associate's degree or equivalent.
  • Possess a Missouri interpreter (Basic, Advanced, OR Master) certification and a current Missouri interpreter license.
