Our client is seeking a Corporate Staff Accountant to join their growing team! This client is a professional services company backed by a prominent Chicago-based private equity firm. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to launch their career in a fast-paced, private equity-backed professional services environment. If you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, are a team-player with a positive attitude and are eager to learn, this role is for you!

If hired, you will complete a structured onboarding program, be assigned mentor for guidance and support, receive regular performance feedback and career planning and access to learning and development resources. You will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere and have direct exposure to senior leadership and PE stakeholders. Corporate Staff Accountant Responsibilities :

Assist in month-end close process

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

Help maintain fixed asset schedules

Participate in budget and forecast preparation

Assist with audit preparations and schedules

Support special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed

Corporate Staff Accountant Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

0-2 years of accounting experience (internships count)

Strong academic record (GPA 3.0 or higher preferred)

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Basic understanding of GAAP

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Pursuing CPA certification preferred

Internship experience in public accounting or corporate accounting a plus

Corporate Staff Accountant Benefits :

Salary : Up to $75,000 per year

Location : Downtown Chicago - in office Tuesday - Thursday
