Job #536274) Administrative Analyst / Specialist I E, ITS Project Coordinator, Salary Range : $4,379 - $7,922; Hiring Range : $4,379 - $5,700 / mo. This is a full-time, benefited, exempt, 12-month pay plan permanent position with a one-year probationary period in the Information Technology Services Project Office. This position comes with a premium benefits package that includes outstanding vacation, medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, voluntary pre-tax health and dependent care reimbursement accounts, a fee waiver education program, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), and 14 paid holidays per year. Position Summary :
The ITS Project Coordinator provides project management skills, knowledge, and experience to motivate teams to meet a project’s needs and achieve its desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Coordination (40%)
- Participate in all phases of the project life cycle.
- Create and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, tasks, resources, dependencies, timelines, and status throughout the life of the project, revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Project plan phases include, but are not limited to : planning and organizingdesigndevelopment / builddocumentation such as forms, reports, business process guides and process mapstesting plans, scripts and activitiestraining plans and activitiescommunication plans and distributionmove to production activitiesproject wrap-up and closure activities
- Resolve conflicts, project risks, and issues in a timely manner, escalating to management as appropriate.
- Communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with project teams and stakeholders comprised of ITS directors / managers and staff, campus staff, the Chancellor’s Office, consultants, and vendors. This includes facilitating project team meetings and promoting communication and cooperation among campus departments.
- Contribute to continual process improvements by soliciting feedback from project stakeholders, capturing lessons learned and implementing solutions.
- Coach, mentor and motivate others to help them achieve project expectations and deliverables; particularly in areas of Agile project methodology and project estimating / sizing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Associated with this Position Include :
Minimum Qualifications :
Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in Project Management with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods.
This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and / or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and / or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
