HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors in Channelview, TX is looking for a Leak Repair Technician to join their safety conscious team The Leak Repair Technician will perform basic and advanced on-line leak-sealing repairs using various techniques and equipment. Assists the Field Supervisor with record keeping and data entry concerning repair information. Assesses leaking component(s) and reports on findings to supervisory personnel and engineering. Performs leak repair operations that may include any of the following techniques and tasks : o Drill and tap o Wire and band o Clamp and enclosure installation o Measuring components o Stand-by operations o Inspections of components o Evaluation of performance on Leak repair activities Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety equipment. Performs appropriate documentation and administrative procedures as required. Communicates and collaborates with field personnel, client representatives and management. Maintains awareness of company products and services available to customers. A high school diploma is required; further education in a technical field or relevant college coursework is preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial operations or maintenance roles preferred. Versatile in handling various tasks and adapting to changing priorities. Able to meet deadlines efficiently. Familiarity with plant maintenance and repair is beneficial. Able to follow supervisors' instructions precisely. Valid driver's license required. Involves both indoor and outdoor work in industrial settings. Interaction with team members, supervisors, and clients. Working near production machinery with high noise levels. Required to use personal protective equipment. Ability to adapt to different job sites and weather conditions. Travel to various sites may be required. Must be physically able to walk, climb, and perform field duties. Effective communication abilities. Good observational skills. Manual dexterity for routine office and field tasks. Able to travel to off-site locations when necessary. Skilled in multitasking and maintaining focus in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Work Environment : Based at a branch or on-site location. Physical Demands : Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
