KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Bain Capital is looking for an experienced professional who will be responsible for supporting the compensation program for assigned business unit(s) globally including compensation modeling and analysis, financial planning, competitive benchmarking, compensation planning / forecasting, managing the year-end and mid-year compensation salary and bonus cycles. This individual will need to collaborate with senior leadership including various business unit leaders, HRBPs and members of finance. The role will primarily focus on the non-Partner investment staff population for the assigned business unit and work with others on the team to provide a coordinated compensation support model.
Day-to-day responsibilities within assigned business unit(s) include :
- Participate in the development of Bain Capital’s compensation strategy and related employee communications regarding compensation programs including the development of a competitive compensation structure and consistent approach to pay decisions for all levels across the assigned business units.
- Collaborate with business unit and HRBP’s to provide leadership and guidance on annual compensation reviews, bonus planning, and carried interest grants as well as to develop competitive offers including base salary, incentive compensation, carried interest awards, etc.
- Assist in all financial analysis and reporting related to compensation on the P&L, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, long-term planning and liaising with the FP&A team as required
- Assist in liaising with our Coinvest and GP teams on matters related to employee coinvest and carried interest awards for their business unit
- Exercise critical thinking and excellent technical & business writing skills to synthesize the results of complex analysis into salient points important to senior leadership. Make data-driven recommendations
- Recommend appropriate solutions to specific compensation related issues as needed to support the business
- Manage and provide mentorship to junior compensation professionals to further growth of the team
- Create materials / spreadsheets on compensation and analysis for executive meetings – ability to attend and present when required
- Preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports
- Respond to compensation data inquiries from managers and employees throughout the organization
