The position requires a unique blend of organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills to support and enhance the Child Abuse Prevention (CSAP) outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in designing and maintaining tracking systems for outreach activities, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of communication and outcomes. They will also demonstrate the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences, including staff at youth-serving organizations (YSOs) and community partners.The role demands excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, such as educators, community leaders, and program partners. The candidate will play a critical role in organizing and participating in events and meetings, while also providing logistical support for program execution. This role will require travel throughout the Commonwealth anticipated at least once per month. Additionally, the role involves creating and distributing regular communications, including newsletters and email updates, to keep stakeholders informed and engaged with our programs. Close collaboration with the staff team and a focus on continuous program improvement will ensure the effective delivery of prevention initiatives and measurable impact.Position Summary : The Prevention Outreach Specialist leads outreach efforts directed at staff, leadership within youth-serving organizations, and both internal and external partners to advance our Child Sexual Abuse Prevention (CSAP) program. This role focuses on effective communication with stakeholders, fostering strong relationships, and promoting the goals and initiatives of our CSAP program.Job Responsibilities : Support our child abuse prevention (CSAP) outreach efforts : Design, develop, and maintain a tracking system using the Microsoft Office Suite to ensure accurate recording of outreach efforts, communication history, and outcomes. Generate regular reports on outreach activities and their impacts.Respond to inquiries from staff and leadership at youth-serving organizations (YSOs).Tailor communication strategies to resonate with target audiences, including staff at youth-serving organizations and partners.Organize and participate in online and in-person events, meetings, and sessions to support our programs and engage with potential partners.Identify, build, and maintain strong collaborations with internal and external stakeholders : Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to youth-serving organizations, educators, community leaders, and program partners.Serve as a point of contact for stakeholders, addressing their inquiries and needs promptly.Identify and leverage various communication channels, including social media, workshops, and presentations, to engage and educate communities.Design, develop, and implement monthly newsletters and emails to inform our stakeholders of programs and resources.Collaborate closely with the Prevention Team to ensure the smooth execution of programs : Collaborate with partners to encourage their active participation in our prevention programs.Provide logistical support, including scheduling, venue coordination, and materials preparation for online and in-person meetings and events.Assist in curriculum development and enhancement, considering best practices and participant feedback.Track and provide regular reports on the status of prevention programs, attendance, and engagement.Qualifications / Skills : Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and how to use these products to record and analyze outreach efforts.Knowledge of communication and outreach strategies to engage a variety of stakeholders, including youth-serving organizations, trainers, staff, and parents.Ability to develop and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to write concisely, express thoughts clearly, and develop ideas in a logical sequence.Ability to use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling.Ability to communicate effectively.Ability to make recommendations.Ability to multi-task and prioritize.Ability to prepare documents and reports accurately.Ability to follow guidelines and procedures.Ability to work independently and in teams.Strong organizational skills.Ability to provide feedback tactfully with others.Ability to use and exercise sound judgment.Travel will be required for this position.Questions regarding this position or the application process should be directed to [email protected] consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS : Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full time, or equivalent part-time, professional, administrative or managerial experience in business administration, business management or public administration the major duties of which involved program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning and / or program analysis, or (B) any equivalent combination of the required experience and the substitutions below.Substitutions : A Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of two years of the required experience.A Graduate degree with a major in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for the required experience.A Bachelor's or higher degree with a major other than in business administration, business management or public administration may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
