CNC Lathe Machinist / Set-up in Torrance

Torrance based Aerospace Manufacturing company has an exciting opening for a CNC Lathe Machinist.

The general responsibilities of the job : Reading and interpreting blueprints and designs to determine programming parameters for Lathe. Perform machine adjustments and work within preset programs. adhering to industry and government safety standards.

Contract to hire with a target salary of $18-25.00, DOE. Full benefits upon being hired on by company.

Essential Duties :

  • Read and interpret blueprints and designs.
  • Work within preset programs and formulas mills and lathes
  • Enter tool registries, start and end points, offsets and conditional switches.
  • Calculate and correct measurements for various component parts
  • Implements and follow routine maintenance checklists
  • Collaborating with purchasing managers to maintain appropriate supply chain
  • Perform basic troubleshooting to determine malfunction source

Requirements :

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience
  • Aerospace background a Plus
  • Shop math skills and plate work
  • G Code and Mazatrol, Siemens Control, 5 axis plus.
  • Detail oriented, math skills and technical knowledge
  • CNC Software
  • CAD and CAM Software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industry and government standards
  • Knowledge of adjusting and setting drills, mills, and lathes
  • ITAR require, US Citizen or Green Card Holder only.
