Additional duties include transporting patients to appointments; taking and recording vital signs; obtaining stool and urine specimens; and other required patient care activities. • Perform physical tasks using appropriate body mechanics and a reasonable degree of physical exertion
• Assisting patients with activities of daily living
• Assists in maintaining a clean safe environment for the patient
• Monitors and assists in providing dietary requirements of patients
• Providing close observation of patients and the documentation of these observations
• Reports observations to the RN or team Leader or Charge Nurse

Candidates who are placed on the eligible list will remain active for 6 months.Certificates : Possession of a valid certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant issued by the State of California and a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or CPR certification issued by the American Red Cross.                                    Within six (6) months of hire must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment a Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center approved Crisis Management and Prevention Certificate. PLEASE NOTE : All applicants must submit a copy of their CNA certification and their current CPR or BLS certificate at the time of application. • Training and Experience Evaluation :  Candidates who clearly demonstrate that they possess the minimum qualifications will have their training and experience evaluated.
