The Senior Contestant and Casting Producer (Production Hire) leads the producing side of the contestant department for Jeopardy!, Celebrity Jeopardy!, Jeopardy! Masters, Pop Culture Jeopardy! And all future iterations of the program. This position will be charged with creating and setting the tone, energy, and excitement within the contestant team, which will transcend through the contestants they're selecting and producing for the shows. They will have the responsibility and keen ability to identify dynamic contestants and enhance the contestant experience from start to finish.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for overseeing the strategy, organization, and the day-to-day management of the contestant department as it pertains to selecting and producing contestants.
- Enhances the contestant experience at every stage from applying and auditioning to appearing and becoming alumni.
- Directly supervises the department, makes personnel decisions, manages performance, and coaches staff to the highest levels of performance.
- Facilitates the contestant audition process including : generating and updating the appropriate materials and participating in sessions where necessary.
- Oversees the booking process including : notifying contestants, arranging travel, creating game matchups, and all other direct communication with selected contestants. This includes all syndicated games, special tournaments and competitions, and other potential spin-offs as needed.
- Manages the in-studio preparation of the contestants, including briefing, reviewing the rules, and motivating and inspiring contestants to be excellent players.
- Works directly with Producers to develop strategies for contestant outreach and development. And to analyze the performance of our contestant pool through every stage of the experience.
- Act as an ambassador for the Jeopardy! brand on and off stage, including in-person events and conferences.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS :
The anticipated base salary for this position is $2,500 / week to $4,000 / week. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position. Please note that this is a production role paid and benefited by Entertainment Partners.
