CAD Designer / Drafter
Cochran is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our growing team as full-time Civil CAD designer / drafters. We currently have an opening at our Lees Summit, MO office.
Cochran is an established civil engineering, construction testing, architectural, and land surveying firm with 7 offices in Missouri. Cochran specializes in public and private projects including municipal, commercial, residential, transportation, water / wastewater, site development, retail, and planning. With a team of 100+ professionals across multiple offices, Cochran brings unique knowledge and understanding to each client's project. The firm is guided by its core values of teamwork, excellence, quality, and trust, ensuring outstanding customer service and principal involvement in all project phases.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Must have an understanding of Civil CAD-based drafting procedures.
- Produce drawings using computer-assisted drafting systems (CAD), Civil 3D software
- Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction various projects
- Draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations, topographical contours, and structures
- Correlate, interpret, and modify data obtained from topographical surveys, well logs, and geophysical prospecting reports
- Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, photography, or other duplicating methods
- Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from Civil Engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts
- Provide Engineers and Surveyors with drafting support
