Job Description
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Building Engineer to assist with the maintenance and operation of all mechanical equipment, appliances, building-related systems, and routine general maintenance. This position works closely with other Engineers under the supervision of the Lead Engineer / Chief Engineer and may lead entry level engineers on various projects.
Responsibilities :
- Perform scheduled maintenance and building repairs, including equipment testing, and preventative maintenance.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance calls, including plumbing emergencies, minor equipment malfunctions, HVAC calls, electrical and lighting repairs, and minor structural repairs (ceiling, floor, door, etc).
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of fire / life safety systems for the property.
- Perform regularly scheduled Preventative Maintenance tasks to ensure all building equipment is functioning properly.
- Respond to emergency calls after hours as directed.
- Perform routine inspections of building(s) and systems.
- Promote and maintain safe work practices focusing on overall safety
- Work with tenants to understand their needs in order to build and maintain positive, productive and professional relations.
- Work with Property Manager / General Manager on projects as directed.
- Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening / weekend hours in order to meet deadlines.
