Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work environment is sometimes dirty and dusty. The employee may be exposed to fumes and chemicals.

Summary :
The Auto Body Estimator is responsible for estimating the cost of repairs to vehicles that have been damaged in accidents. This includes inspecting the damage, determining the cost of labor and parts, and preparing estimates for insurance companies and customers. The Auto Body Estimator must have a strong understanding of auto body repair procedures and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Inspect damaged vehicles to determine the extent of the damage.
- Estimate the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace damaged items.
- Prepare estimates for insurance companies and customers.
- Negotiate with insurance companies to ensure that fair and accurate estimates are paid.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest auto body repair procedures and technologies.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers and insurance representatives.
