Job Summary
Responsible for inspecting, calibrating, testing, and repairing medical electronic equipment, and do so by using a variety of tools and computer applications.
Essential Functions
- Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and performance assurance inspections on specialized electronic equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions.
- Test and calibrate components using a variety of manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and code requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
- Ensure documentation is complete, timely, and accurate.
- Repair and replace complex biomedical electronic equipment and systems.
- Install and adjust a variety of electronic biomedical and research equipment.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions with accuracy and precision.
- Function as the senior technologist to provide guidance and mentorship to other BMETs.
