Position Description

The CADD Detailer coordinates with the conceptual designers, project managers, and our shops to produce construction documents.

Primary Objectives

To produce construction drawings for both in-house and subcontracted pieces that need to be fabricated. Coordinate with both in-house team members and vendors to make sure the fabricated products both meet SRS quality, and durability and are sized to meet installation specifications.

Areas of Responsibility and Specific Responsibilities

• Produce justified building drawings based on as built dimensions of the exhibit space.
• Generate and maintain CAD sheet schedule to be used throughout the project.
• Email CAD questions to the project manager the day before the normally scheduled job meeting.
• Produce construction drawings per design taking into account :
• Install ability
• Design intent
• Installation hardware
• Integration between wood shop and art shop.
• Example : shop-built platform, art fabrication pieces on it.
• Provide separate acrylic and metal drawings to get sent out for fabrication.
• At the end of the job, produce as-built drawings based on shop red line drawings.
• CAD produces CNC and other specialty subs drawings.
