Looking for a fun part-time opportunity? The new Senior Center in beautiful Highlands Ranch is hiring a Building Attendant to help support its events and daily operations. Duties include but are not limited to setting-up / taking-down rooms for programs and events, opening and closing buildings, assisting facility rental customers in operating audio-visual and kitchen equipment, monitoring facility usage for compliance with building rules and rental parameters, greeting rental customers and program participants, and completing pre-event and post-event inspections and paperwork. This role offers a dynamic and engaging environment with a schedule that primarily includes evenings and weekends, making it a great option for someone seeking flexibility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, open, and close facility for rentals, programs and special events.
- Provide appropriate room setup and takedown for classes, meetings, parties and special events.
- Set up audio-visual equipment.
- Supervise program and building users to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.
- Inspect all rooms, equipment, and supplies for any hazard or safety concerns.
- Maintain all common areas for a neat and pleasing appearance.
- Secure the building at the end of shift. Ensure that all lights are off, doors are secured and locked (door alarms are activated), and the alarm is working and activated properly.
- Perform light cleaning and public restroom upkeep, remove trash, move furniture and equipment and obtain supplies for programs, classes and meetings.
- Monitor facility user groups, enforce rules, regulations and report any damage or unsafe conditions.
- Serve as primary on-site contact for evening and weekend events, responding to customer questions and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
- Provide excellent customer service during events and programs, answering questions both in-person and via telephone.
- Maintain the safety of all patrons and employees in the facility and implement emergency response plans when required.
- Complete Accident / Incident Reports as needed.
- Conduct a facility walk through every 20-30 minutes.
- Shovel and salt sidewalks during snow and ice conditions as needed.
- Inform the supervisor of any recommendations for improvements to the facility, rooms, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist program instructors as needed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Personal computer, Microsoft Windows 10 Pro, multi-function printer / copier / scanner, telephone, vacuum cleaner, and other general office, cleaning or kitchen equipment.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office and moderately loud when working during an event.
WORK SCHEDULE
The hours and schedule of this position are evenings and weekends. Work schedules will vary depending on weather conditions, projects, events, programs, meetings, staffing levels, and include evening, early morning, and weekend hours. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
