Job description

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team . The ideal candidate will have knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general accounting processes as it relates to the bio / pharmaceutical industry. They will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely processing of transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounts payable by processing invoices through vouchering against purchase orders, coding and booking non-PO invoices, and tracking payments to ensure timely invoice processing.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including posting daily revenue transactions, applying checks, chargebacks, and credit memos in the AR system, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Resolve parked or blocked AP invoices by investigating the issues and collaborating with end users to address the causes, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Regularly monitor and reconcile key supplier account statements, communicate with supplier contacts, and ensure invoices are processed accurately and paid on time.
  • Assist with quarterly and month-end close processes, including reviewing open contracts for accruals, performing account reconciliations, managing fixed assets, preparing prepaid roll forwards, journal entries, and other related tasks.
  • Support internal and external audits, as well as HQ requests.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all data, records, and files.
  • Handle ad hoc requests as needed.

    • Skills

  • CPA Candidate (2 years of experience is preferred)
  • pharmaceutical accounting (2 years of experience is preferred)
  • SAP (3 years of experience is preferred)
