Navigate federal employee benefits systems, including Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) , pensions, and other government retirement programs. Communicate complex financial strategies in a clear, compelling, and results-oriented manner. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and follow-up processes. Stay informed on federal retirement benefits, TSP updates, and pension regulations. Operate within the firm’s fee-based advisory structure — no broker-dealer affiliation , making this ideal for fee-based and fee-only advisors. Maintain strict compliance with all regulatory standards and licensing requirements. Life Insurance License and Series 65 License (or equivalent). Demonstrated success in closing business in a financial advisory capacity — this is a sales-driven role, not a servicing position. Experience providing direct financial and retirement planning advice to clients. Ability to lead client conversations with authority while building trust. Experience working with federal employees and familiarity with TSP, pensions, and federal retirement benefits . Background in investment management , AUM-focused advising , or fixed-indexed annuities . Skilled in explaining complex financial solutions clearly and persuasively in virtual settings. Thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced sales environment driven by inbound leads. Excels at closing business and is motivated by uncapped earning potential. Has experience advising federal employees or is eager to specialize in this niche market. Prefers a structured system with pre-set appointments — no cold calling or prospecting. Desires to join a rapidly growing firm that is aggressively expanding its national footprint. Competitive Salary + Commission : High earnings potential with commission incentives tied to performance. Detroit Financial specializes in serving mass-affluent, retirement-aged clients, with a focus on Assets Under Management (AUM) and Fixed-Indexed Annuities (FIA) .

Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Closing Business :
- Conduct virtual meetings with federal employees across the country, educating them on retirement benefits, pensions, and financial strategies.
- Develop personalized retirement plans and present financial solutions aligned with each client’s goals.
- Close business efficiently — clients are pre-scheduled and interested; your role is to lead them to a confident financial decision.
- Articulate the advantages of managed money (AUM) and fixed-indexed annuities (FIA) as core solutions.
- Occasionally assist with life insurance and other financial products, though AUM and FIA remain primary.
