Job descriptionEnsure all assembly activities meet quality standards, safety protocols, and deadlines. Coordinate daily production tasks to align with schedules and organizational objectives. Oversee the use of work instructions, blueprints, and technical documentation. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and quality concerns using root cause analysis. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows. Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address customer issues and implement solutions. Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of critical components. Develop and enforce production schedules, minimizing delays. Monitor workstation layouts and workflows to improve productivity. Support the adoption of new technologies and equipment to enhance capabilities. 5+ years of leadership experience in assembly or manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or related industries. Hands-on expertise in mechanical assembly and precision craftsmanship. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Exceptional communication and team leadership capabilities. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documentation. Competence in Microsoft Office and ERP systems for reporting and communication. Experience building RV aircraft or similar projects is a plus. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques. Operates in a factory setting with varying temperatures. Requires standing for extended periods and handling parts up to 50 pounds. PPE is mandatory to ensure a safe work environment. About the Role
The Aircraft Assembly Supervisor will oversee and lead a team of approximately 20 skilled professionals, including aircraft assemblers, A&P mechanics, and canopy builders. In this role, you will ensure operational excellence by driving safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced assembly environment. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in achieving production goals and delivering exceptional products to customers.
