Location : Whittier College (Main Campus)
The position is for in-person instruction on Mondays and Wednesdays, 1 : 30-4 : 20 p.m., with classes beginning August 21, 2024.
Course Description
This course explores a variety of processes for creating two-dimensional images, using materials and techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, simple printmaking, and mixed media. Emphasis will be on understanding how basic visual elements (line, shape, form, space, color, and texture) are used in contemporary art. Color theory will be included.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
MFA and background in graphic design preferred, background in fine art will also be considered. Ability to teach the elements of design and ability to introduce contemporary design practices.
