Architectural Designer / Drafter

A highly respected and growing Building Supply Company in Northern Minnesota is looking for an Architectural Designer / Drafter with talent, initiative and drive to join their team.  Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of residential home and / or small commercial drafting experience.   As a leader in the building supply industry we are looking to hire quality people and provide them with outstanding opportunities for professional growth in a supportive team-oriented environment. We are well established and are looking to dramatically grow our market over the next 2+ years.

Architectural Designer / Drafter Qualifications :

• Candidates should have 5+ years of experience creating coordinated drawing sets for residential / small commercial projects
• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in related field preferred but not required
• Knowledge of building codes and NKBA guidelines
• Ability to utilize Softplan Design Software
• Candidates must be team orientated with the ability to take direction and work independently
• Ability to communicate in a clear, timely and accurate manner
• Detail orientated and willing to see tasks, particularly drawing coordination, through to completion
• Comfortable operating autonomously
• Be an independent, self-starter who executes tasks on time and with a high level of attention to detail
• Be proactive in problem solving
• Be loyal, hardworking, and comfortable in a fast paced small-business environment where priorities can change quickly
