Donnybrook District High School (DHS) is looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Mathematics teacher with a unique vision and a drive to engage our Year 7-10 students in all aspects of The Mathematics learning area. In addition to this, Donnybrook DHS is exploring the opportunity to offer a Specialist Community programs in response to meeting the expectations of our school community. Communication and collaboration with parents, carers and the wider school community are vital to meet community expectations and form an integral component of our school culture.

The successful applicant should possess the professional knowledge, understanding, and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant Mathematics curriculum through a finely-crafted program that emphasises both practical and theoretical knowledge and is tailored to student needs and interests. This position entails the ability to access data to differentiate curriculum, embed cross curricular focuses, including the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), literacy and numeracy, and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes across multiple learning areas using multi-age group planning. You would build positive relationships, focus on student's strengths, and harness your passion for educating our students to help them determine and develop future pathways.
You would ideally be highly motivated, student and relationship focused, and able to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences. You should utilise innovative initiatives and be able to work effectively within a dynamic team. This should involve reflecting upon and assessing the effectiveness of your teaching practice, as well as cultivating a safe learning environment, underpinned by our core values of Consider, Aspire, Respect and Engage. As we continue our focus on Social and Emotional Learning, it is imperative for the successful applicant to incorporate strategies that support students to develop competencies which include, self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship skills.
Donnybrook DHS provides education to students from K-10. As a school, we are also committed to strengthening our individual pathway planning to support all our students to achieve success in Senior School beyond Donnybrook DHS.
