ISGF is seeking an AutoCAD Designer for an HVAC and Plumbing company in Sorrento, FL.
Summary : Uses CAD equipment to provide support to engineers / designers by preparing layouts, detail drawings, and assembly drawings from red lines. Make copies and prints drawings required for installation. Solid understanding of drafting techniques, ability to read blueprints. Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic math.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork with CAD systems creating, modifying, and releasing drawings and word drawings under the direct supervision of a supervisor for use by other departments and customers.Work closely with all departments in the company to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information.Self-check own work for completeness, accuracy, meeting code and company standards, fits, and stack-ups.May be responsible for some design elements, and contribute to improving job efficiencies.Work from drawings, sketches or scanned images, verbal or written instructions.Will use the accepted drawing standards as guidelines.Proficient in the use of CAD software.Must be able to modify existing drawings to minimize the need to create new drawings and create new drawings when necessary in a timely fashion that meets internal standards.Must be a self-starter, and be detail-oriented.Excellent knowledge of drafting standards.

Education / Training / ExperienceHigh school diploma with 2-4 years experience in CAD systems with plumbing / HVAC design experience OR degree from a recognized CAD training facility and 1-year experience in plumbing / HVAC design.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.High skill level in CAD software. Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). Ability to learn new graphic software to complement the presentation of new CAD designs.
