The Capture and removal of Nuisance Wildlife in an urban and suburban setting. Working on Roofs using tall ladders as well as working in attics and crawl spaces. Performing necessary duties in various types of weather during all times of the year. Perform basic repair work on areas where animals have damaged using hand tools, power tools, sheet metal, and screening. Formulates and implements a management plan based on sound Biological principles, applicable laws, policies, and integrated wildlife damage management strategies (including demise and disposal) Coordinate plans and work activities with supervisor, law enforcement officials, property owner, and others as appropriate. Must be able to take and pass the California Dept. of Fish and Wildlife Trapping Exam Must be able to take and pass all safety training, and the Critter Control Certified Wildlife Specialist Exam Familiarity with the local and surrounding area. Excellent customer service attitude. Must pass a drug screen / criminal background check. Must be able to pass an employment physical. Must be able to be medically cleared to wear a respirator. Must be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel normally associated with this position. Able to lift heavy objects (minimum 65 lbs.) and maintain consistent awareness of surroundings at all times. Must be able to climb, crawl, up, on, and in roofs, crawlspaces, under porches, and other tight areas. Have a general understanding of the use and care of hand and power tools Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
