Stanley Consultants is seeking to hire a Construction Inspector for the Colorado Springs area. This position will perform on-site daily observation of the contractor’s construction work and verify the work product to the project’s approved plans and specifications.
Duties include :
- Perform highly complex technical assignments related to stormwater, roadway and bridge construction.
- Receive general instructions regarding assignments and is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the solution of construction related work problems.
- Preparing reports and maintaining daily logs of inspections and reviewing any discrepancies with the proper parties.
- Assures the quality of the contractor’s work.
- Be responsible for verifying the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.
- Recognizes construction problems and communication with relevant team members to apply standard techniques and procedures to solve the problem.
- Implement field changes to required drawings and specifications.
- Perform field survey and measurements.
- Inspecting construction work and conducting field tests.
- Be responsible for coordinating and managing a team of inspectors.
- Maintain daily contact with contractors to discuss construction activities.
- Attend construction meetings with client and contractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
