A company is looking for a Desk Adjuster to handle Residential Property CAT claims from a desk within the client's office.Key ResponsibilitiesExamine claims forms and policies to determine coverage and analyze property lossesCommunicate the claim process effectively via written correspondence and phone callsPrepare reports and settle claims by determining liability and issuing settlement checksRequired QualificationsCollege degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceTwo years of experience adjusting residential property claims or one year with prior military serviceCurrent home state adjuster license, with willingness to obtain additional licensesAcceptable results on pre-employment screenings and background checksExperience in insurance, construction, or damage evaluation preferred
