JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Responsible for conducting analyses of insured medical populations with the goal of identifying opportunities to improve financial performance. Extract, analyze, and synthesize data from various sources to identify risks and opportunities. Ideate, size, and track savings initiatives based on these opportunities. Support the creation of reports and presentations for executive level audiences.
This position will primarily support trend mitigation strategies for all populations within ACA exchange products and populations with behavioral health conditions across Medicaid, Medicare, and ACA products. Additional cross-functional opportunities to support clinical savings initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
Analyze claims and authorization data to identify trends or other issues related to medical care costs
Work closely with Marketplace and Behavioral Health teams to address emerging trends
Draw actionable conclusions based on analyses performed
Create impactful exhibits and data visualizations to illustrate key trend drivers
Work with business owners to track performance indicators of medical interventions
Extract and compile information from various systems to support executive decision-making
Ability to mine and manage information from large data sources.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Actuarial Science or similar field
Required Experience
Preferred Experience
Proficiency with Excel and SQL for retrieving specified information from data lake and creating summary visuals
Experience with PowerPivot for Excel and Power BI dashboards
