Job Description :
The Activities Aide will be responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementation of recreational activities for residents in a long-term care facility. The Activities Aide will work closely with the Activities Director to ensure that all activities are appropriate for the residents and meet their physical, emotional, and social needs. The Activities Aide will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of resident participation in activities and ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the planning, organizing, and implementation of recreational activities for residents
- Work closely with the Activities Director to ensure that all activities are appropriate for the residents and meet their physical, emotional, and social needs
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities
- Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of activities
- Encourage resident participation in activities
- Provide one-on-one activities for residents who are unable to participate in group activities
- Assist in the coordination of special events and outings
- Attend in-service training and education sessions as required
