Must-Have : Bachelor's Degree, Preferably in Finance or Accounting
Job Description :
- Under general supervision of the Associate Director of Accounting, manage day-to-day supervision of several accountants and oversee operations in the General Accounting Department.
- Responsible for accurate and timely issuance of monthly internal financial statements and coordinating the completion of the year-end audit.
- Manage month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of the general ledger and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with Financial Information System and Treasury departments to establish accounting structures, procedures, and financial reporting for new entities.
- Work with finance teams to streamline intercompany processes and ensure proper accounting of intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate workflow within the department to ensure timely and accurate completion of all internal reports, financial statements, external filings, and ad hoc reports.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and review reconciliations prepared by staff.
- Implement changes to streamline processes and increase ease of workflow.
- Standardize and maintain documentation of general accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
- Oversee special projects as assigned.
- Mentor and provide ongoing guidance and training to staff.
- Utilize organizational values as the basis for decision-making.
- Follow established infection control and safety procedures.
This position demands a high level of expertise in accounting principles and a proactive approach to team management and process improvement.
