What You Can Expect : + The genetic counselor will work at the St. Luke's Cancer Institute as part of a collaborative team of six genetic counselors evaluating patients for hereditary predisposition to cancer and benign hematologic conditions. + Participate in partnerships, projects and strategic planning involving genetics across the Health System. Serve as a resource to physicians, hospital staff, and parents. + Compile complete family history, obtain and review medical records, assess risk of genetic disease and provide grief and crisis counseling to individuals and / or families. + Join a team with a fast-paced, team-based culture with never ending opportunities to learn and a strong focus on work / life balance.
