Position Overview :

  • Supply Chain Management team currently seeking a Procurement Specialist to support commercial procurement strategies and execute commercial negotiations on major projects such as clean energy development and reimagine canals.

Responsibilities :

  • Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with suppliers, consultants in support of service agreements for clean, renewable energy construction projects, maintenance and operations.
  • Track supply chain requirements, conduct sourcing and competitive bidding processes and negotiate agreements.
  • Collaborate with the operations teams to analyze procurement options and to assist in making equipment supply recommendations that best position their pipeline of renewable energy projects.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of current market conditions and their potential impact on cost, lead time and availability of supply.
  • Promote strict adherence to all Procurement and other applicable policies and procedures, and recommend modifications as needed.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement around reporting, vendor management, systems and other processes.
  • Assist with supporting all systems and tools required by procurement activities, including but not limited to systems related to purchasing and contract management, third-party vendor management and reporting.

    • Skills :

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of materials and inventory management, logistics, quality assurance, quality control, maintenance and operations.
  • Experience with SAP Procurement and Ariba.
  • Ability to use independent judgement on procurement processes and strategy.
