Works cooperatively with all center staff to maintain a quality program Understands role in organization as a business I only succeed when they do. To be successful, they need a leader who exhibits the following characteristics : First - in setting standards, pace and mood Fair- no playing favorites, always sharing the credit and being the one to take the heat Firm- state the facts, agree on the problems, explore for solutions Flexible- assume the best of people, make room for good ideas and admit when you're wrong BA in Early Childhood Education or closely related field preferred Experience working in a childcare setting Supervisory experience Personnel File is up to date CPR / First Aid Current TB Test and up-to-date immunizations (Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hep B and Covid-19) Current Physical Appropriate Attendance Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children, co-workers and families Sensitive to the individual needs of families Ability to communicate with families effectively Ability to supervise variety of staff Knowledge of rules, regulations and standards Knowledge of child development Ability to provide appropriate guidance Ability to seek supervision and use it constructively Evidence of emotional maturity and stability Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position Evidence of sufficient judgment
