- Provides basic patient care.
- Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
- Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse.
- Provides general nursing care and routine treatment / procedures.
- Facilitates processing of patients
- Provides clerical receptionist support
- Provides Coordinating Support
- Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the departmentQualificationsEducation
- High School diploma or equivalent GED.
- Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.Experience
- Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.Licensure / Certification
- Basic Life Support
- BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment.
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferredWork ShiftDay
