About the Position :

The Information Technology Services strives to be a strategic, innovative, and best-in-class IT organization that provides a leading-edge technology environment for students, faculty, and staff to advance the University's mission, vision, and goals. We seek an exceptional individual to join our Information Technology - Student Technology Services team as the Information Technology Consultant - Expert. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general supervision of the Director of IT and the direction of the Director of TitanHEALTH, provide overall project coordination and serve as the lead of the IT department for all Student Wellness departments including clinical services (TitanMED), health education and promotion services (TitanWELL), confidential advocacy services (TitanTHRIVE), and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Provide system / data administration and support, user support and training, resource evaluation and needs analysis for all areas of Student Wellness to ensure problem resolution, systems / data access, and optimal performance. Using a broad and interactive perspective, provides solutions to ongoing and emerging privacy and security concerns that combine information and ideas in new, unprecedented ways.

The Information Technology Consultant - Expert establishes, leads and coordinates efforts for all Student Wellness technology projects that includes but are not limited to preparing proposals, cost estimates, and justifications for proposed systems change to meet patient care needs. Responsible for researching, installing, configuring, and modifying all applications in Student Wellness including software programs and systems for clinical services, mental health services, advocacy services, and utility services (lab, x-ray, pharmacy, health promotion, etc.). Develops and implements training and related materials for Student Wellness staff that maximizes their ability to utilize related functionality and features of established systems and software programs. Collaborates with on and off campus partners to ensure optimal functioning of systems and applications that meet the needs of Student Wellness. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field plus five years of relevant full-time experience. Twelve years of relevant full-time experience may be substituted for the previously listed education and experience requirement.

Advanced knowledge of the work area demonstrated by an understanding and use of the advanced principles and theories. Ability to integrate and apply work related knowledge to achieve innovative solutions. Ability to anticipate the impact of problems and solutions on other systems. Ability to investigate and research new systems and technologies and develop complex information technology systems and solutions. Ability to understand problems from a broad perspective and explore, conceive, and implement solutions and ideas in new ways. Ability to predict and anticipate problems and be proactive when creating solutions. Demonstrated communication expertise using persuasion and negotiation. Ability to lead technical team efforts and assess skills within a team while working to build on individual strengths to maximize team results. Ability to teach and transfer knowledge and skills to others.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and / or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Preferred Qualifications

A minimum of five years working with Point and Click medical records application experience in a university / college health environment.
