This 590+ bed Magnet, Level 1 Trauma Center is known throughout the community as being the healthcare provider of choice. They just got their ENA Lantern Award, which demonstrates their exceptional and innovative performance in leadership, practice, education, and advocacy. This Emergency Room Department has 59 beds, an 11-bed fast track, and sees an average of 215 patients daily.

The Director will have 139 FTEs and report to the ACNO. Since I placed her here, I know a little bit about her. She likes to support her people by getting her hands dirty and being available with boundaries. She wants people to be autonomous, while being heard; she also wants someone who will work alongside the staff to get the desired results, not just drive outcomes by delegating.

The ideal candidate will have the following traits :

• Someone that prioritizes people and patients first.
• A process improvement professional that can give quantifiable examples on how theyve collaborated with the front line and physicians
• Level 1 or 2 Trauma experience and must be a director.
• Someone that can identify opportunities to elevate others around them through engagement and empowerment.
• Throughput and hospital wide collaboration examples.
• Humility, drive, and knowledge.
