Reports to : Director of Nursing (DON)

Position Type : Full-Time or Part-Time | Hourly

Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a  Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing team in Frankenmuth . In this role, you will provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in a supportive, team-centered environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct resident care, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, incontinent care, colostomy care, ambulation, transferring and range-of-motion support.

Follow individualized care plans and report observations, changes in condition, and resident preferences to nursing staff.

Maintain resident dignity, privacy, comfort and a warm, Christ-centered environment in all interactions.

Support and uphold residents’ rights, promptly reporting any concerns regarding abuse, neglect, or restraint use.

Protect residents’ personal belongings and participate in efforts to locate missing items.

Promote skin integrity by preventing pressure ulcers, turning and repositioning residents, and applying skin care as directed.

Respond promptly and courteously to call lights and resident needs.

Assist with assigned clinical tasks such as vital signs, weights, applying creams / ointments, and collecting specimens.

Accurately complete CNA documentation according to policy.

Follow all safety and infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene, glove use and disposal of soiled materials.

Welcome and orient new residents and families to the facility during admissions and transfers.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Michigan required.

6 months of CNA experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.

Commitment to compassionate care and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule and Compensation

Schedule : Full-time or Part-time, Night Shift (12-hour shifts).

Weekends : Every-other-weekend rotation required.

Starting pay : $20.40–$22.90 / hour, based on experience and licensure.

Additional pay : Shift differential : +$0.50 / hour (Night Shift), attendance bonuses
